I grew up speaking Spanish and English in Mexico and Canada.
My passion for language led me to study linguistics and become a professional translator. I have 8 years of experience as an in-house, external, and freelance translator, specializing in technical and legal translation, life sciences, and localizations.
At present, I'm based in Ontario, Canada.
My introduction to professional translation was in life sciences.
I have translated laboratory reports, drug authorizations, drug trial reports, medical articles, clinical studies, hospital and laboratory audits, user manuals for lab and hospital equipment, among other documents.
I have worked in this field for over 7 years and enjoy constantly expanding my terminology and knowledge through research.
I have worked with legal documents for most of my career and have made this field a major focus of my work since 2020. Translations include patents, policies and contracts, lease agreements, vital records, and government communications and documents, among others. I have experience with legal documents from Mexico, Canada, and the US.
Additionally, I work in several other fields, including tourism, marketing, software, subtitling, and gaming; and as a consecutive interpreter.
